CAMP FACILITIES: Onyahsa is a small camp, with approximately 90 overnight campers and 16 day campers per week. Campers reside in lodges, cabins, or tents depending on age. It is located directly on Lake Chautauqua and has 180 acres of land. The facilities are modern, and the main lodges are used year-round.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Celebrating its 119th summer in 2017, YMCA Camp Onyahsa offers great experience for youth, teens, families, and adults. Nestled in its own 180-acre wooded bay on Chautauqua Lake, Western New York, it offers organized summer residential and day camp sessions, off-site horseback riding, teen activities, leadership development, and much more. Traditional Camp: This program is designed for youth ages seven to fourteen and all activities are developmentally appropriate. Traditional Camp is the heart of our program, for here are made the special friendships and fond memories, which last a lifetime. It is recommended for both new and veteran campers.

Traditional Camp will be offered during all summer sessions. Campers who attend Traditional Camp will enjoy all the favorite daily activities such as Swimming, Boating, Arts, Sports, Nature, and campers' "Choice." Swimming activities include National YMCA instructional swimming and water safety classes.

Boating generally offers kayaking, sailing, wind surfing, skin diving, fishing, rowing, and canoeing. Arts includes activities such as camp crafts, painting, clay sculpture, drama, and other creative projects. Sports offers a wide range of athletic activities like Soccer, Basketball, Climbing Wall, Archery, Court Games, New Games, and many others. Nature includes Environmental Education and outdoor activities such as hiking, planting, outdoor cooking, conservation, and many others.

Horseback Riding Camp: In addition to Traditional Camp, each week will offer Horseback Riding Camp at a local equestrian center. Campers bunk with other campers in the general program, but focus on horseback riding, (see the annual schedule), for part of the day, thus they will miss some of the Traditional activities described above. This experience especially suits older and veteran campers.

Teen Camp: Each week's fourteen or fifteen year-old campers who are registered for Teen Camp will participate in and help to conduct their own more autonomous and exciting programs such as trip-camping, "extreme team", climbing, sailboat racing, and many other great activities. Teen campers will be able to exercise their independence and responsibility by helping to create their own less-routine programs. They will also complete a Camp project and assist with special events. Our mission is to promote excellence in youth development through quality camp programs that place a premium on participants; safety, health, and happiness in an active outdoor environment.

The Camp Staff is comprised of experienced teachers and college and high school students; many of whom were former Onyahsa campers. All of these highly committed and competent adults are carefully screened, chosen, and trained by the YMCA. The Camp Director has served in this role for over 20 years.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership program. Campers who are fifteen years old (by the start of camp), and who register for a two-week Leader in Training (LIT) session, will have a great time taking trips and participating in more mature projects, while also learning the responsibilities required of leadership. This experience is great for older teens who want both excitement and responsibility, and who are ready to handle more independence.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are available for most local campers and limited out of state applicants. Applicants are encouraged to apply early as camerships are awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Campers may register for more than one week. Each session runs from Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning, with a weekend program available for stay-overs. Sessions begin June 11 and run through August 12. Resident Camp tuition is $490/week. (Multi-session/sibling discounts are available). A Mini-Camp (ages 5-10) is offered August 6- 9. This program is $200. Day Camps run M-F from June 11 - August 12. The cost is $230/week, and multi-session/sibling discounts are available.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 3 rustic camper cabins, outdoor accessible pool, dining hall, bocce ball and activity courts, basketball courts, arts and crafts cabin, a music and drama cabin.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Clover Patch is a summer camp for individuals with disabilities where each camper is encouraged to reach his or her fullest potential. Since 1965, Clover Patch Camp has provided individuals with disabilities opportunities to make new friends, create everlasting memories, and experience a genuine camp setting.

Clover Patch Camp is operated by the Center for Disability Services, a non-profit organization consisting of a wide variety of programs designed to serve individuals with disabilities. Camp is located 30 minutes northwest of Albany, New York, in the town of Glenville. Serenaded by the constant trickle of the Alplaus Creek, it is home to nature trails, rustic cabins, and a heated swimming pool; all fully accessible.

Clover Patch Camp is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and is required to be inspected annually. Inspection reports are on file at: New York State Department of Health.

At Jeanne d’Arc, being a camp counselor means more than just a summer job, you join a family of friends as soon as you walk through our gate. You will be given a unique opportunity to work with incredible people from the U.S. and around the world in a magnificent setting, the Adirondack Mountains.

More than 40 counselors and staff members assist the director in the day-to-day operations of the camp. The camper-counselor staff ratio averages 3:1. As a staff member, you will be entrusted with someone’s most important possession, their child. We look for counselors who exhibit the maturity necessary to succeed in this role.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. When not in class or practice, students have lots of fun participating in a variety of recreational activities including outdoor games like "Capture the Flag" and "Ultimate Frisbee," indoor games, movies, visits to a nearby lake for picnics and campfires, hikes, relaxing and socializing at the village Coffee House and each camp closes with a farewell party the last night of their camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each building is staffed by a Head Camp Counselor and 4 camp counselors who are are specially trained to serve as positive role models, mentors and friends. They provide out-of-classroom supervision throughout the week.

Our programs are staffed by distinguished members of the Alfred University faculty and advanced graduate students. Our sports camps are run by our head sports coaches who have all won distinguished awards in their sport. With Alfred University's excellence in teaching and coaching, along with their commitment to offering quality programming, these are among the most educational and fun summer programs in the country.

CAMP FACILITIES: Forrestel is located on a sprawling 800 acre farm with a variety of landscape features. Campers enjoy a large number of activities on our fields, streams, woodlands and campground. The buildings include a beautiful 1825 Greek Revival farmhouse, barn complex, eating house, tennis court, indoor arena, many outdoor rings and our campsite with modern shower house and large fire pit. The campers are housed in tent cabins. New in 2014 is our first cabin for the youngest campers located adjacent to the shower house.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Forrestel’s horseback riding programm is a very unique one, which offers 2 programs; Horsemanship 1 and Horsemanship 2.

Our international and local riding counselors are all qualified, experienced and passionate about teaching our campers to ride. The campers are taught on one of Forrestel’s family owned, well schooled horses, who are carefully matched to the child with age, size, ability and experience taken into consideration. Campers also have the option of bringing their own horse/pony with them to camp.

Riding instruction at Forrestel includes structured ring work and cross country riding. Our campers can choose to focus on different areas of their riding which can include; hunt seat equitiation, dressage, eventing, cross country and show jumping.

We also have our speciality horsey activities, which are all firm favourites. They include pony club games, trail riding, trips to the horse pond and overnight, and decorate a horse.

Within our Riding Program we also offer a stable management option, which includes all aspects of horse care from mucking out, trailer safety, preparing for shows, braiding and veterinary care.

How we work:
During our after school programs, summer camps, and workshops, we use the creative arts as a space to teach peace education. Our programs aim:
- To provide a fun, safe space for students of all ages, backgrounds and learning styles.

Kids Creative has at its core what we call the 6 C's of peacemaking. Each of these C's is essential to the building of communities in each of our programs. We have divided these into Upper Case and lower case C's.

Community—The overarching “C”. The ultimate key to building peace is being able to coexist with those around you, and to build a functional community where issues are raised and resolved in a constructive manner.

Confidence Building—The basic “C”. You have to be able to accept yourself, and be happy with who you are in order to feel an essential part of building a peaceful community.

Conflict Resolution—The tough “C”. The most difficult aspect of working with others is resolving problems that arise in a manner that is beneficial for all involved. It is possible to easily find temporary solutions, but this is only the first step to conflict resolution. For true peacebuilding, one must also know how to find solutions that are sustainable, meets the needs of the community, and take into account the often numerous factors that contributed to causing and perpetuating the conflict.

Collaboration—The cooperative “C”. No community exists in a bubble, and it is important that members feel invested in working together and finding sustainable solutions. Without collaboration, solutions are only temporary.

Creativity—The innovative “C”. Sometimes, we need to think outside the box and use our imaginations to solve conflicts that arise. We have to be open to the ideas of others to make everyone feel comfortable.

Cookies—The fun “C”. One of our strongest beliefs is that the more enjoyable it is to be a part of a community, the more people are going to want to be involved in sustaining it. People must feel like they are having fun in order to be invested in solving conflicts and building a peaceful, equitable society.

CAMP FACILITIES: At Timber Lake West, Campers live in modern, paneled cabins called bunks. Each bunk is equipped with full bathrooms and storage space for each camper's belongings. Three to four counselors and eight to ten campers make up each bunk.

Campers make their beds, care for their own belongings and practice good personal hygiene. Our professional housekeeping staff maintains and sanitizes the bathrooms daily. A complete packing list and Parents' Manual make the process of preparing for camp as easy and convenient as possible.

The cabin or bunk is where campers learn to live together as a group, to share and to respect each other. We see bunk living as the core of the camp experience - central to our mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Timber Lake West's unique four-week summer camp program offers children a place to make new friends, try new activities and grow as a person. We believe that camp has to be safe and it has to be fun. That's what Timber Lake West is all about. We take all the fun, spirit, excitement and tradition of a full season camp experience and power pack it into four weeks.

Our athletic program includes clinics, instruction, inter-camp tournaments, and plenty of games played just for fun. We create the right balance between competition and good sportsmanship, allowing every camper to be comfortable joining in, while also promoting teamwork and spirit. At Timber Lake West, winning is great but our goal is that every camper walks off the field or court with more friends and feeling better about him or herself.

HARDCORE ATHLETICS:
Hardcore Sports is designed to provide extra instruction and drills in various sports for those campers who elect to work with extra intensity on their skills. The work-out sessions are held during an elective or swim period for those campers yearning to improve their skills, practice for upcoming tournaments or play at a higher level of competition. These campers get a chance to work on their mechanics through drills, practicing game situations, improving their mental preparation, building self-esteem and getting into or staying in great physical shape.

Two periods each day are devoted to swimming and water sports. Our emphasis is on safety, instruction and fun. Our experienced Red Cross certified waterfront staff provides special attention to improving swim skills with the main emphasis, of course, on safety. Timber Lake West's two heated pools set us apart from others. Our Olympic size pool makes free swim a favorite activity while our completely private spring-fed lake, right in the heart of camp, provides the thrill of water-skiing and an extensive boating program, featuring instruction in canoeing, kayaking, row boating, surf bikes, paddle bikes, banana boating and water skiing.

Adventure at Timber Lake West comes alive when our campers challenge themselves to try activities they have never done before. Whether it’s hiking in the mountains, scaling our 35 foot climbing wall or soaring down our zip line, camp is meant to be an adventure.

Our low ropes course gives campers the opportunity to work together toward a common goal while building friendships, self-esteem and self-confidence.

As part of our program each bunk meets with our trained and experienced staff on our low ropes/team building course and on overnight camp outs. As a cohesive unit, the campers work together to accomplish the goals that they set for themselves at the beginning of the four week session.

Each day campers select two activities from a wide variety of athletic, adventure oriented, and performing or creative arts electives. Combined with our scheduled sports and waterfront activities, the Elective periods allow campers to customize their summer program. With over thirty activities to choose from, our extensive electives feature experienced teachers and coaches to ensure that campers get the highest quality of instruction in the areas of their greatest interest:

Each evening is filled with a fun activity. Whether it's a “Broadway” production in our theatre, a campfire, masquerade social, outdoor games, contests or a late-night league game on one of our lighted courts, evening activities are among the best times of the day at Timber Lake West. Before bedtime, campers stop with friends at our Planet West Canteen, complete with snacks, Pop-a-Shot, ping pong, pool tables and air hockey.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Teen programs are strong and we’re proud that we continue to attract returning older campers year after year. In spite of all of the other choices that high school-aged children have in today’s world, the large majority of our campers choose to return to Timber Lake West all the way through the end of their Teen summers.

The Timber Lake West Teen Program begins with diverse programming, more day trips out of camp, more choice and flexibility daily, a later wake-up (they ARE teenagers, after all), many community service opportunities and strong staff and supervision. Our Teens alternate between a two-day Whitewater Rafting trip or a two-day trip to Hershey/Dorney Parks.

Our Teens are also part of our apprenticeship program in camp, through which they choose a specialty area and an age group with which they think they might like to work. For several hours each week, they will be assigned to work with these groups so that they can get a feel for coming back as Junior Counselors.

We provide structure, supervision, feedback and training so that they are successful AND prepared to be part of our staff!

Since 1991 World Cup Soccer Camps & Clinics has set the standard of excellence for youth soccer camps, classes and personal soccer training. We create many touches on the ball to make it exciting and to improve your child's game. Half days conclude with small-sided games. CAMP FACILITIES: Children live in wood-framed and screened cabins by age group, yet choose activities and wilderness trips individually. We have a wide range of activities in camp, and an extensive wilderness program - hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing throughout the Adirondack region.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The North Country Camps - Camp Lincoln for Boys and Camp Whippoorwill for Girls - are adventurous and fun full-season resident camps located in the Adirondack region of NY State. We offer a program that emphasizes individual choice, and we offer a wide range of activities in camp including horseback riding, sailing, canoeing, swimming, windsurfing, kayaking, bicycling, soccer, baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, tennis, archery, art, drama, dance, and woodshop.

We also offer an extensive Wilderness Trip program. The trips -day trips, overnights, and 3, 4, 5 day trips - include hiking, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, riding, and sailing. Campers live in cabin groups of five or six campers with one counselor. Overall camper:counselor ratio is 3:1. Ramah Berkshires campers enjoy swimming, boating and water play on beautiful Lake Ellis. The Red Cross certified waterfront staff instructs and guards our daily instructional swim periods, as well as free swim times. For older campers, we offer a lifeguard training certification. Our water trampoline, slide, "blob" and "Summit" add to the fun on the waterfront. Campers enjoy learning to kayak, canoe, and sail on the lake. Older campers have opportunities to participate in overnight boating adventures, as well.

Summer camp is about the great outdoors, and there's plenty of that at Ramah! Our Al Hagova specialists are trained to teach environmental values to campers through overnights and nature walks. Older campers experience multi-day bike trips and hiking trips. Campers of all ages look forward to "flying" through the air on our zip-line, or mastering climbing skills on our rock wall. Groups of campers learn to bond and cooperate while on our ropes course or hiking up Ramah Mountain. Our in-camp mountain bike trail is used by campers of all ages.

Jewish music and dance are keys to our program! Campers learn classic Israeli dances and songs, as well as modern pop tunes. Among the highlights of the summer are the Zimriyah (camp–wide song festival) and Rikudiah (dance festival). Drama specialists offer workshops in dramatic techniques and skills. Many camper edot (divisions) perform a musical play in Hebrew. Interested campers can opt for drama workshops. Those campers who love to sing can be part of our a cappella groups. Our staff and older camper a capella group performs each Friday evening, setting the mood as Camp ushers in Shabbat.

Experienced artists and art teachers transmit their love of arts and crafts and fine art throughout the summer. From painting, sculpting and papier mache to jewelry-making, woodworking and tallit-making, campers are introduced to a wide-range of activities and have the opportunity to hone their skills in areas of special interest. At various times during the summer, visiting artists share their specialties with our campers.

The multi-media center enables campers to explore photography, radio and film-making. Interested campers can improve their photography skills as they document the summer in pictures. They can anchor their own radio show on Camp's radio station, Kol Ramah (Voice of Ramah), that broadcasts throughout Camp. They can even film, direct, edit and produce movies under the guidance of our videography staff.

Interwoven into all aspects of camp life are Conservative Jewish values and Ahavat Yisrael, love of Israel. Campers participate in age-appropriate and meaningful daily prayer. Jewish learning factors into all aspects of the daily schedule, from sportsmanship to the Jewish view of saving the environment.
Integral to the Ramah community is the Mishlachat, educators and support staff from Israel who work in all aspects of camp life. They provide campers with a taste of Israel, exposure to Hebrew language, and an understanding of current events in the Middle East.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our oldest campers, entering eleventh grade in our Gesher division learn important leadership skills, spending time as counselors in training (CIT) by helping our youngest campers with their daily activities. These campers receive specialized training from the Ramah Staff, as well as on-going instruction from visiting specialists during the summer. This last year, Gesher—meaning bridge—allows these campers to envision themselves as models and leaders to younger campers.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We are committed to ensuring that no eligible camper is turned away due to financial hardship and to providing a Ramah experience for any camper who might not otherwise have been able to become part of our Ramah family. Camp Ramah offers financial assistance to campers and serves the Jewish community in cooperation with local synagogues and schools. The financial assistance process is strictly confidential. It begins with parents contacting their synagogue rabbi, educational director or other synagogue leaders. Please read about the process in our online application. Rabbi Resnick, our camp director, is available to assist parents in making the appropriate contacts.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Camp Ramah in the Berkshires is the ideal location for your group to spend time together in a Jewish environment. Come experience the magic of “Ramah Shabbat” with your school, synagogue, or organization. Ramah Retreats also hosts B’nai Mitzvah, weddings, reunions and more. Our facility, only 70 miles from New York City, includes private "hotel-style" housing for adults to stay in the comfort of our newer facilities. OTHER CAMP INFO: For entering third graders, Ta’am Ramah (Taste of Ramah) gives first time campers an eight day “taste” of the Ramah experience, guided by nurturing, experienced staff for this first time sleep-away camp experience. Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include our famous 'Showtime' musical theatre production, athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more! In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally with emphasis being good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

At Hampton Country Day Camp, we recognize that our Seniors are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows Seniors to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, Seniors have "Flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. Ramapo for Children offers college students a valuable and highly unique summer job experience through one of our programs: Camp Ramapo. Ramapo runs one of the few residential summer camps that specifically serves children with social, emotional, and learning challenges. At our camp, staff members believe that all children want to succeed, and embrace the challenges of working with special needs children. CAMP FACILITIES: Keuka College, located on the shores of Keuka Lake, boasts air-conditioned dorms, all-inclusive dining, the beautiful Norton Chapel for performances, rehearsal spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a library, all overlooking the water. Swimming and boating is supervised by life guards, all campers are supervised by trained counseling staff in small ratios.

CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. Summit has a small amphitheatre adjacent to our lake, with a miraculous view of our beautiful setting where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, and riding our banana boats. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 61,000 sq.ft. fully air-conditioned recreation facility with a 24,000 sq. ft. main arena and a 12,000 sq.ft. auxiliary gymnasium. The Main Arena has seating for all campers, counselors and parents.
