OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Chippewa, located in West Grove at the Jennersville YMCA provides campers from preschool age through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Chippewa runs for 14 weeks from May 30 through September 2 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chippewa also offers a variety of specialty camps including: aquatics, dance, theatre and junior lifeguarding. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. CAMP FACILITIES: Soccer camp will take place on the brand new state-of-the-art turf facility on Cedar Crest College's campus. Campers will also have the opportunity to use the swimming pool in the Rodale Aquatic Center.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Under Cedar Crest College Head Coach and former Division I and WPSL soccer player, Sarah Wolcott, and Assistant Coach Sam Busillo, former Division II standout and current WPSL soccer player, players will learn the fundamentals to develop into strong leaders on and off the field. At the Cedar Crest Soccer Camp we will provide our players with a challenging and fun environment. We will spend time focusing on the individual players' technical development and tactical understandings of the game. With a holistic approach to the game of soccer, campers will be given the opportunity to build good soccer habits by developing new skills on and off the ball and establishing a sense of self-confidence. Our goal is to share and pass on our passion for soccer, so players will graduate from camp with new abilities, polished skills, and a fresh excitement for the game.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena (PISA) is a 98,000 sq ft indoor sports and entertainment arena that houses 3 fields of Revolution Field Turf. CAMP FACILITIES: 24 Boys Cabins and 24 Girls Cabins. All cabins are modern wooden cottages with bathrooms and showers. Heated pool and water slide, full circus program and horseback riding on camp.

It is United Methodist affiliated, and open to all Christian denominations. It is easy to step back in time while exploring the area's rich history and heritage. Jumonville Glen was the site of George Washington's first battle, and a small museum of artifacts has been preserved from the French and Indian War that followed.

In addition, the state operated an Orphan School on the property after the Civil War. The beautiful campus, 19th century stone buildings, and flagstone walkways reflect the rich past of this mountaintop, and yet still offer exceptional lodging, comfort and modern conveniences. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Lindenmere’s Leadership Training Program is carefully designed to teach participants both life and camp related skills. The LT’s will participate in all of the traditional Lindenmere camp activities, and will often experience many of these activities in a leadership role.

The program is fun, dynamic and creative while offering the LT’s more freedom and responsibility than other campers. The LT’s have the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well as experiential learning activities designed to teach life skills.

As the oldest campers, the LT’s are considered the foundation of the Lindenmere experience. Each participant is considered a valuable part of our community and is eligible to become our future staff and leaders.

Each bunk houses 8-12 campers with two to three counselors. The cabins are equipped with modern conveniences such as full bath facilities, including hot and cold running water, ample electrical outlets and storage space for clothing.

When do the campers pick their activities?
Majors are chosen before campers arrive at camp. The three minors are chosen at breakfast each morning and may vary from day to day.

Do campers ever get turned away from an activity they choose?
Never. A full time program director spends the day working with each child's schedule.

How many people in each activity?
Sometimes a child chooses a private lesson which is one-on-one with an instructor. Most activities have between eight to twelve children.

How does the laundry work?
Every camper's laundry is done with an outside service and is collected on Friday and returned to the campers on Sunday. The laundry for each cabin is kept together and the children sort their laundry with the aid of their counselors upon its return.

Do you have a doctor in camp?
We have a doctor and three registered nurses during each session. Our infirmary is staffed twenty four hours per day.

Are campers put into bunks by age or grade?
Campers are usually grouped in cabins by grade. Sometimes parents will request a placement by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.
Any out of camp trips?

Children leave camp to compete in intercamp games or special events such as a day trip to Camelbeach, Dorney Park, whitewater rafting, ice skating, bowling, minor league baseball games.

Do campers need extra money?
Canteen is provided free of charge each day. A small amount of spending money is recommended for other incidentals.

Where do campers come from?
All over. We have large groups of children from the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Florida, and California, but don't be surprised if you have a bunk mate from London, Paris, Madrid or Singapore.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership is the backbone to our program. To us, Leadership looks different for everyone. By building relationships, practicing open and honest communication, and empowered decision making. Our community values self-expression, compassion, cooperative leadership, and living joyfully.

Throughout every aspect of our program, campers and staff develop lifelong friends, indelible memories, and tangible skills. We grow leaders each summer who make lasting impacts on their communities, families, and the world.

Two aspects of our program that specifically are designed for intentional communication, empowered decision making, and relationship building include Crew and Group. Crew is the daily "chores" group that every camper participates in. This is anything from cooking breakfast, to cleaning the stalls and feeding the horses, to taking out the trash and recycling around camp. We do hard work, and then we get to play! Group is our evening program that is defined as "the part of Longacre that makes us unique". This is an intentionally facilitated communication workshop for all of our campers and staff. This is where we use communication tools and skills to better understand ourselves, others, and how we interact with the world.

Longacre Leadership Camp is a residential, co-ed summer camp located in Central Pennsylvania for students aged 8 - 18. We are located on a 114 acre farm 40 minutes north of Harrisburg and will be enjoying our 44th summer this year. Position dates are from June 14th - August 15th 2018.

We hire camp counselors, AKA Big Kids aged 21 and over who are passionate about working with young people and who are committed to building a community. CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Sequoia is very fortunate to call The Perkiomen School campus our summer home. Pennsburg is a suburban area approximately a one hour drive northwest of Philadelphia in Montgomery County. The proximity of many educational and recreational activities to Pennsburg make our weekly out of camp trips very convenient.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Perkiomen School offers a wide array of playing fields and outdoor athletic facilities such as tennis and basketball courts. An indoor, competition size swimming pool, multiple gyms and top notch art facilities are just a few of the indoor highlights. When it's time for bed, campers will enjoy the comfort of their bedrooms which feature closets, dressers and desks. Bad weather is no problem at Camp Sequoia thanks to our amazing facilities. This is a great asset to our campers who have trouble with change in schedules.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The LIT program meets the need for young people ages 16-17 who are not yet ready for a summer job and need help developing their social thinking skills, independent skills and job readiness skills. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: About the Owner of Soccer Development Schools...

Born and raised in England, Coach Tyler comes from a solid professional upbringing in soccer. He has worked and played with many successful clubs and coaches which has granted him invaluable experience that he hopes to pass on to young soccer players. Training and playing with professionals taught him the importance of preparation, nutrition, and a positive attitude. In addition to the technical side of the game, Coach Tyler feels these are all vital to educating aspiring players.

Coach Tyler played professionally for Cambridge, Stevenage and Rushden and Diamonds in England. He also played on his county and district team. In addition, he played and coached in the FA Cup. Most recently, Coach Tyler was a professional coach at English premier league team West Bromwich Albion FC and Football Development Schools before moving permanently to the USA in 2010. Since being in the USA, he has coached for various clubs and academies. Currently, Coach Tyler holds FA, USSF and AYSO certifications.

During the past 10 years, Coach Tyler has coached a range of ages (3 to 18 years old) and ability levels from beginner to advanced. He has been responsible for tactical/technical, physical, social and mental coaching as well as basic fundamentals of the game. Soccer Development Schools, LLC was founded in 2011 by Coach Luke. As a professional year-round coach, Coach Luke dedicates all of his time to coaching and expanding Soccer Development Schools, LLC. Soccer is his career and passion!

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Summer camps and programs start in June and end in August with a variety of options and times. Fees range between $200 - $500 depending on the length of the program you choose. We offer day camps during the summer months as well as evening training. Our most exciting summer feature is our "Summer Select" program for the elite athlete looking to participate in twice weekly training by professional coaches as well as exciting weekend tournaments.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have excellent collegiate facilities that includes 15 soccer fields, all-you-can-eat dining hall, air conditioned dorms, and an indoor swimming pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: OUR PHILOSOPHY

Camp SAY was established with one goal in mind – to provide children who stutter with a highly immersive and accepting summer camp experience that builds self-confidence and helps children develop the vital communication skills they need to fully express themselves without fear, bullying or ridicule.

Complementing our wide range of exciting traditional camp activities, Camp SAY provides each child with unique experiences that challenge them in a safe way, creating a strong sense of achievement and helping them confidently navigate the unique issues that children who stutter face in the everyday world.

STAFF
The staff is dedicated to creating a safe and accepting environment where every child can find their beautiful and unique voice. Approximately 80% of children return to camp. Parents and campers tell us it’s our staff and unique approach that consistently exceed expectations, making Camp SAY such a rewarding and transformative experience.

We provide an excellent Staff-to-Camper Ratio: With Camp’s leadership team, camp counselors, specialized activities staff and more, our staff-to-camper ratio is 1 staff member for every 2-3 campers. In addition, each bunk is staffed at night with at least 2 counselors for an average of 6-10 campers.

Counselors complete a comprehensive training program to support the social, emotional and physical needs of all our campers. Staff development includes leadership training and extensive information about stuttering, camper health and safety, camp philosophy, policies and procedures and much more. Additionally, Specialized Activities Staff is carefully selected based on their skills and expertise.

ACTIVITIES:
Camp SAY offers an incredible range of activities, including:

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Tuition and travel are offered on a sliding scale basis so all children can attend Camp SAY. To date, no child has been turned away from Camp SAY due to a family's inability to pay.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Camp offers Family Day where families visit campers, and in addition to welcoming kids & teens who stutter, we also welcome siblings and friends (ages 8-18).

OTHER CAMP INFO: Meals: Camp SAY provides a wonderfully balanced meal plan with great options that kids will enjoy. In addition to the delicious main meals, we provide tasty snacks at key times during the day. We can accommodate a broad range of food restrictions to ensure that your child’s experience at Camp SAY is truly memorable.

Talented Nursing Team: Your child’s safety and well being is our highest priority. Our camp is staffed by a full-time, on-site registered nurse who can properly dispense any family-provided medications and can access medical specialists as needed.

Traveling to Camp SAY: Campers come from all around the country and abroad. We work closely with families to make each child’s trip to Camp SAY as safe and enjoyable as possible. We schedule a chaperoned flight from the southeast to New York City. Children taking individual flights are welcomed at the gate by camp staff. Upon arrival at the airport, camp staff helps navigate baggage claim, arrange check-in for return flights, and board campers on the bus for a fun trip to Camp SAY.

Our Personalized Approach: In order to fully personalize your child’s camp experience, our team obtains detailed preferences in advance of camp from you and your child – from their activities to seemingly small yet important details. For example, children who have birthdays at Camp SAY are celebrated with a group birthday song and birthday cake.
