At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Unbeatables is the only Life Skills Training and Multi sports summer program in USA, created especially for children ages 5 to 14. We have a perfect combination between sports and fun activities with education in the 6 most important areas of the children's life: fitness and nutrition, social environment, family life, school success, interest exploration and emotional life. Leader In Training- LIT
Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

MADRICH

Entering 10th Grade
Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP FACILITIES: The camp will be taking place on 100 acres of natural learning opportunities. There are over 50 separate garden displays, several waterfalls, koi ponds, many nature trails, pavilions, and animal friends throughout the gardens.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Solutionary Heroes Summer Camp is designed and directed by Jenna Bardroff, a humane educator with a Master of Arts degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Animal Biology. Camp programs are also facilitated by Dale Bardroff, M.A., an educator who has taught a wide population of special needs students. Camp educators are qualified outreach educators for compassionate studies and are committed to teaching participants solutionary skills. All camp educators are CPR and Frist Aid certified.

For the 2014 season, we are offering the following Soccer Camps:

CAMP FACILITIES: 16 A/C & heated cabins in 2 villages, sandy waterfront hosts swimming and water activities, basketball court, sand volleyball court, games garden, 2 sports fields, 2 paintball fields, low & high ropes courses, archery range, rifle range, open air crafts building, A/C dining hall, open air chapel/amphitheater, large central fire circle, updated health center and a large education/activity building.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. July 11 – 15 Be A Movie Star Camp: During this camp, children will write a script, create and produce the set, and Star in their very own Movie. Each child will take home their copy of the Karate Arts Movie Camp Production for the entire family to laugh with and enjoy.

July 18 – 22 DIY Pinterest Projects Camp: During this camp, children will create and make very cool Pinterest DIY projects, and each child will take home their creations for the entire family to enjoy. There will other activities trough out the week like Water Day.

Set in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800′s, our dormitories and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities. We have a boys dorm and a girls dorm each with 32 camper capacity. Counselor to camper ratio is 6:1 at night so counselors stay in the dorm with campers all night. With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between sessions and we also offer laundry service free of charge!

The Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Visitor Center is home to the Cypress Restaurant, the Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Marketplace and serves as the departure point for fun safaris offered through Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Illahaw is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization established in 1991. Since 2005, Camp Illahaw has offered campers the chance to experience all Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of fun activities from Horseback Trail Rides; Arena Activities; Florida History/Heritage; Low Ropes Challenge Course; Hiking; Kayaking; Archery; Shooting; Swimming, Paintball*; and our “unique” Outdoor Survival Activity*. The CIT Program seeks to teach young people about responsibility, authority, and hard work that will prepare them to be counselors and leaders in the future, or to prepare them for college life. Being a camp counselor is a great summer job for college students. Our CIT program is a great way for young adults to gain the necessary experience and qualities needed to secure a job. Many camps look for past camp experience or CIT program experience. We prefer our CIT’s be past Camp Illahaw campers but it isn’t required.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp J is a program of the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. We are a cultural institution whose mission is to serve local families and our entire community. Jewish values and culture are the foundation from which we derive our mission. We believe that these values – such as respect, honestly, friendship, and community – are universal.

The Southwest Orlando community is incredibly diverse, and this diversity is embraced in all of our programming. Our goal is to make all campers feel comfortable and included. CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our campers but we stay very busy catering to the divers in the off season. Tours can be arranged with Cave Connections.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Indian Springs, first established in 1965, is a fun-filled, action packed private summer resident camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. Located on 77 acres, camp is nestled beside the wooded springs of beautiful Wakulla Springs State Park amidst the Apalachicola and Wakulla Forest of North Florida. Camp Indian Springs offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and extreme adventure. Camp Indian Springs is truly a place where a summer will last a lifetime!

While the Camp Indian Springs facilities and programs are terrific, we believe that it’s our camp staff that makes the summer experience truly special. A camp is only as strong as its leadership. Camp Indian Springs is committed to providing skilled leadership. Indian Springs counselors are great role models who are focused on the needs of campers, both in the cabins and in classes. What makes Camp Indian Springs stand out above the rest is our 90% staff return rate. Unlike most other summer camps you will not find a staff search on our web site or a Craigslist ad seeking staff. This is due to our extensive C.I.T. (Counselor-In-Training) program and high staff retention rate. Growing a staff within creates a competitive and safe environment to select the best of the best. More than half the staff have been at camp five years or more. All counselors are carefully selected for their camp skills and must possess superb references. All staff must go through an intensive one week staff training which includes effective cabin leadership, teaching skills, emergency procedures, CPR, first aide and a parent to counselor open forum.

High Seas Adventure Camp on our 70 foot yacht. Campers will get the chance to be on the crew of a real yacht as they travel. They will also experience treasure hunts as well as ride jet skis, and use our yachter-slide.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our C.I.T. program is one of our most valued Camp Indian Springs program. This program is vital to the success of our camp. This is where we grow the future camp staff and world leaders of tomorrow. Our Counselor In Training program is the first step to become a camp staff member. The program is for campers age 15 to 17 who desire to become camp staff. The program is designed to teach young men and women to become productive leaders and staff members. A majority of the camp’s current staff have come up through our C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s are placed in a younger cabin with a Senior and Junior counselor and have a vital role in cabin leadership. C.I.Ts also take a C.I.T. only class and assist in other classes throughout the day.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We are open year round for group retreats, family camps, family reunions, and any other event possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We are open year-round for a tremendous and unforgettable experience for the whole family, school, sports team, or any other group! We have hosted countless retreat groups and they have all had incredibly memorable experiences. We have hosted family camps, family reunions, religious groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, fraternities, sororities, etc.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 dorms, complete with air conditioning and showers, an outdoor pool, a dining hall, outdoor chapel, main lodge for activities and gatherings, a field for sports, and a sand volleyball court. Lake Howell provides a place for canoes and paddleboats.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Pedro Catholic Camp is staffed by qualified young men and women who are active in Church ministry and have a deep sense of God in their own lives. All staff members have been screened by the State of Florida, fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando, and are well trained for their positions, including certification on working with young people in a safe environment through the American Camp Association.

Overnight and Day Camp participants are offered an opportunity to unplug from distractions and take a step back from everyday life to create important lasting relationships. Our goal is not only to provide a wholesome outdoor life, but to also assist youth in true character and faith formation through the celebration of Mass, daily prayer services, as well as the sacrament of reconciliation.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: All staff participate in a week long training session to prepare them for the upcoming camp sessions. First aid/CPR/AED training is included. Staff will also complete ACA courses online prior to attending camp training.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are available on a case by case basis.

CAMP FACILITIES: Large Modern Equestrian Facility on the Econ River next to the new 275 acre Econ Sandhill state preserve. We have secure parking, 24 Hour Digital monitored surveillance cameras, and Huge Air Conditioned Bunkhouse for Kids to Play and Cool off in 25' Pool and Deck, Bounce Houes Water Slides and constant interaction with the Horses, Lambs, Mini Goats, Bunnies, Chickens, Mini Horses, etc.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Soccer players in the state of Florida can now experience the coaching expertise of Coach Mike Brizendine, and enjoy meeting new friends and having serious fun on campus at Florida State! Campers will learn principles of attacking and defending, combination play, pressure-cover-balance, flank play, counter attacking, zonal defending, finishing, and more.

We break down the game, and focus on individual topics for each session and then practice in small sided games. Our system of coaching gives players the chance to make better decisions while playing at a faster pace, reaching a new level of awareness and understanding of the game. We make camp competitive as the players push themselves. During the week players compete in small sided tournaments and evening games. Registration is limited to ages 10-18.
