BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: El Tesoro inspires campers to let their curiosity be their guide – to nature, their world and what they can accomplish! Age-appropriate activities develop confidence in our campers while they build new skills and make new friends in the outdoors. The wide range of activities from horseback riding and archery to crafts, swimming and drama create opportunities that show each camper they can achieve whatever they set their minds to.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Inclusion program for campers with mild physical and mental disabilities. Also, El Tesoro de la Vida Grief Camp weeklong overnight camp for children that have experienced the death of a loved one.

Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Horses/Equestrian, Wilderness/Nature, Fine Arts/Crafts, and more. Equestrian Overnight Camp
CAMP LOCATION: Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro is a 223-acre multi-use camp located in Granbury, Texas, on the bend of the Brazos River at Fall Creek just 45 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. Established in 1934, it has been the first choice of North Texas families for almost five generations of campers.
CAMP FACILITIES: Boasting two swimming pools, a new dining hall complex, a new covered equestrian center, new cabins, as well as a challenge course complete with a zip line, it is no wonder this camp continues to be a premier location for summer campers and year-round activities.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Traditional Overnight Camp Boys and Girls ages 6-16 Special programs include: Inclusion program for campers with mild physical and mental disabilities. Counselor-in-Training program for campers in grades 11 and 12. El Tesoro de la Vida Grief Camp weeklong overnight camp for children that have experienced the death of a loved one. Day Camp - Summer and Spring Break, Family Camp Weekends, Outdoor Education for school groups, Groups and Retreat rentals for organizations
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor-in-Training program for campers in grades 11 and 12.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp scholarships are available through an application process that is open Sept-Feb for the following summer season.
