BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Walden is a co-ed, ACA accredited, residential summer camp in the Adirondack Mountains. We are located on more than 100 beautiful lakeside acres, just 10 miles from Lake George, NY. For over 75 years our campers have enjoyed a rich array of athletic, waterfront, adventure, and arts activities taught by highly experienced specialists all while forming lifelong friendships in a fun, exciting, and safe environment. We are known as a camp that takes great care of kids with the help of an exceptional staff. Our warm and caring family atmosphere makes first time campers feel as welcome as our returning campers. Join us for a lifetime of memories!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Soccer, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Weightloss, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Baseball, Team Sports, Golf, Horses/Equestrian, Sailing, Gymnastics, Dance, Adventure, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, and more. Mountain Boarding, Cooking, High Ropes, Low Ropes, Fitness & CrossFit.
CAMP LOCATION: Camp Walden is ideally located on 100 beautiful acres in the heart of the Southern Adirondack Mountains, just 5 miles from Lake George, NY. Walden is approximately 3.5 hours from New York City and Boston, 2.5 hours from Montreal, Canada, and one hour from Albany, New York and The Albany International Airport.
CAMP FACILITIES: Our natural wooded setting, outstanding facilities, and breathtaking waterfront provide campers endless opportunities for outdoor fun.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers enjoy a balanced schedule that includes group periods and choice periods each day. During group periods, campers participate in group activities that ensure group bonding and a well-rounded summer. Choice periods provide campers a customized Walden experience, with more time and instruction in the activities they love most.
Walden also has many exciting special days that differ from our regular schedule! Our campers enjoy awesome trip days to places such as Six Flags amusement park. We also have many Special Event Days including Carnival, Big/Little Day, and Superbowl Sunday among many others. Walden campers additionally enjoy camp traditions such as Tribals in the first session and Color War during the second session. Both are four-day events with exciting activities to promote team building and camp spirit. Walden also offers optional mountain bike trips and guided hikes up local Adirondack peaks. Campers may also elect to participate in any number of tournament teams in which they compete against neighboring camps.

*2 week session is for New Campers ONLY leaving 3rd grade and younger.
